PAYMENT INFORMATION

Memberships are automatically bank drafted each month from a checking/savings account, or credit/debit card. For bank draft memberships, your first payment will be prorated depending on the joining date. Memberships in 3, 6, or 12 month increments can be paid in full. All membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Cancellations require a 15 day written notice.

YMCA FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

There is a place for everyone at the Y. Because of generous donations to our Annual Support Campaign and donation from United Way, financial assistance is available for membership and programs. Applications can be found on our website or at Northwest Community Services.

PARTICIPATING INSURANCE PROGRAMS

The Y partners with Health Partners, Medica, Preferred One, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, SilverSneakers, and Silver & Fit for special benefits. Check with your insurance provider to determine if you are eligible.

LOCKER/TOWEL SERVICE

For locker and towel service add $10 per month, per adult. For family memberships with locker/towel service, children receive one towel each.

OTHER INFORMATION

We will waive the Joiner Fee for Active Duty Military.

Daily guest passes are available for purchase to those wishing to try the Y for the day!
Infant Under 3 - $2.50
Youth (3 - 17 yrs old) - $5
Adult (18 & over) - $10
Family of 4 or less - $20
Family of 5 or more - $25
Day passes may be applied to membership within 30 days, up to the cost of the first month of membership upon request.

For Membership Assistance

Through the generosity of many individuals and businesses contributing to our Annual Support Campaign and United Way, the YMCA is able to offer scholarships for memberships and programs.

If you are interested in receiving financial assistance for your YMCA membership, and you live in Douglas County, you will need to apply at Northwest Community Services. This is the first step in our screening process. If you live outside of Douglas County and are in need of financial assistance, please contact our Membership Director.

Northwest Community Services is located at 1118 Tower Avenue. You will need to provide the following documents in order to have your scholarship approved:

  • Head of household’s social security card.
  • Proof of any and all income; including pay stubs for all household members, child support, financial aid, etc. You
  • MUST provide proof of income when you apply. If you do not bring proof of income your scholarship may not be approved.
  • Current tax information (W2 from the prior year)
  • Current piece of mail with your name and address shown on it.

The Superior Douglas County Family YMCA reserves the right to verify financial information as well as reserves the right to accept or deny scholarships.

For Program Assistance

If you are interested in participating in a YMCA program but unable to afford the full cost of the program, fill out the scholarship application form and bring it back to the Front Desk of the YMCA.
